Highlights: Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan 3rd ODI 19th July 2015 | Official HD Highlights

The fact that this match actually produced a result is an wonder itself cause a fight broke out among the crowd in the stands towards the end of the match. This happened at the stands in the Sri lankan innings. Some people were thrown out of the ground, and a lot of stuff was consequently thrown from the stands until one rock hit a Pakistan fielder or landed near him. Then the teams reached the safety of the dressing rooms, riot police arrived, armed guards had arrived and police had always been there. The offending stand – the south-eastern one – was evacuated, and a lot of the crowd had left by themselves. Later when the match restarted, Sri Lanka added only 23 runs more but couldn’t avoid a huge defeat.

Winning the toss Azhar Ali opted to bat first and his batsmen proved his decision to be right from the ball one. Pakistan scored a modest 316 runs from stipulated 50 overs which eventually was enough to win the match. Wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed was the highest scorer for Pakistan but all the other batsmen chipped in too. In reply Sri Lanka was bowled out for 181 runs in the 42nd over. None of sri lankan batsmen tried to bat sensibly and positively.
