Sri Lanka lost their first match in the ODI series against Pakistan so they needed to up their game to make this series more competitive & thats what they did! They defeated Pakistan by 2 wickets that too chasing 287 runs! Winning the toss Azhar Ali opted to bat first and they put on a modest 287 runs on the board. Pallekele wickets can be tricky so it was not a smooth chase at all. But at the end Sri Lanka won the match convincingly playing only 48 overs. Azhar Ali was the highest scorer for Pakistan while Shoaib Malik & Mohammad Rizwan stroke a half century each. In reply Kusal Perera & Tillakaratne Dilshan started so briskly that at one point it seemed like they would finish the match even before 40! Kusal Perera scored 68 off only 25 balls hitting 13 fours and 2 huge sixes! They scored 90 runs in first 8 overs! Soon Pakistan picked up the scalp they wanted which eventually slowed down the run rate.
