Srijit Mukherji’s Indian Bengali Drama Film Rajkahini is weaved around a border between two nations that runs through a brothel housing 11 women in 1947. The movie shown us the unspoken side of India’s Partition.
The name of the film ‘Rajkahini’ is taken from Abinandranath Tagore’s anthology of stories “Rajkahini”. This film had a talented casts and crews to operate. Retuparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee,Koushik Sen, Sudipta Chakraborty and Joya Ahsan are the main casts of the movie. After two weeks of releasing still this move is doing well in theaters.
Most of the critics of west Bengal reviewed this as a ‘Must Watch’ for all Bengali adults. Unofficial source confirmed, Mahesh Bhatt wants to make a Hindi Remake of that movie. If this is true then this must be a good news for Srijit Mukherji and his team.
