Breaking: Bangladesh Knocks out England to reach Quarter Finals WC 2015

English captain Eoin Morgan didnt take a sec before choosing to bowl first after winning the toss against Bangladesh. Soon we realized his decision was perfect as Bangladesh lost 2 openers for 3 runs. Then a strong partnership between Mahmudullah Riad and Soumya Sarkar helped Bangladesh a bit to rub off the initial scare. Sarkar got out adding 40 runs to the total while Riad’s on 103 off 138 deliveries. Hence Mahmudullah becomes the first batsman to score a hundred in a world cup. Bangladeshi superstar and their main batsman Shakib Al Hasan got out cheaply for 2 runs and that also in a very awkward way.

Mushfiqur Rahim must be applauded for his well made 89 off 77 balls. But at the end Bangladesh somehow lost the momentum and scored very slowly to have a total of 275.

Bangladesh played an extra left arm spinner in place of Nasir Hossain. Imrul Kayes came into the side for the injury of Anamul Haque Bijoy.

In reply England started fluently as they scored 42 runs inside first 7 overs. Then the first hiccup came up as Moeen Ali got out in a running misunderstanding. Ian Bell and Hales tried to put up a partnership but they were undone by some great controlled bowling. Both Bell and Hales nicked the ball to Mushfiqur Rahim. English captain Eoin Morgan, Joe Root,Jerome Taylor none could handle the pressure and got our cheaply.

Then a counterattack was produced by wicket-keeper batsman Butler. He scored 65 in quick time.Chris Woakes supported him well with his hard made 42.

After Butler exiting the scenario English batsmen couldn’t hold their nerve and failed to chase the target down. England was all out for 260 runs, basically was defeated by 15 runs.

England is out of the tournament and Bangladesh has reached into the quarters.
